VT, USA: Writer and Nobel laureate Alexsander Solzhenitsyn, 75, touches 25 May 1994 for the last time the gate to his house in Cavendish, Vermont where he spent 18 years in exile. The former Soviet dissident is returning to Russia, flying to Anchorage, Alaska and then on to Vladivostok. 1970 Nobel prize in Litterature, the Soviet writer and dissident Alexander Solzhenitsyn was condemned to eight years hard labour in the gulag for having criticized Soviet leader Stalin in 1945. He was arrested again and expulsed from USSR in 1974. He lived in the USA and came back to Russia in 1994.
